About Us

The Cape Town Business Summit and Expo is an annual event that brings together entrepreneurs, small business owners, aspiring business owners and industry leaders to foster networking, share insights, and explore innovative solutions to contemporary business challenges. Held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), the summit has become a significant fixture in the city's business calendar.

The event further aims to bring together business finance houses, investors, business bankers, Fintech start-ups, etc. We are determined to create a one-stop shop for like-minded entrepreneurs and contribute towards building our economy, creating jobs, and uniting business in an effort to bring prosperity to even more citizens.

Origins and Purpose

Launched in 2022, the Cape Town Business Summit was conceived as a platform to support small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMMEs) in the Western Cape. The event aims to facilitate collaboration among like-minded entrepreneurs and aspiring business leaders, providing opportunities for networking and discussions on mutual business interests. The summit also serves as a forum to collaboratively devise solutions to the challenges encountered in today's dynamic economic landscape.

Key Features

• Summit Discussions: The summit features a lineup of dynamic speakers, including government officials, industry experts, and successful entrepreneurs. For instance, the 2024 summit included speakers such as James Vos, the City of Cape Town's mayoral committee member for economic growth and tourism; Vusi Thembekwayo, a global business speaker and investor; Dr. Catherine Duggan, director of the UCT Graduate School of Business; and Dean Macpherson, Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure.
• Business Expo: Complementing the summit is a business expo that showcases a diverse range of small business exhibitors. The expo provides a platform for businesses to present their products and services, including offerings such as short-term business insurance, mobile communication devices, access to funding, and mobile services like dental care.

Venue

The CTICC, opened in 2003, is a premier convention center in Cape Town, strategically located in the city's Foreshore area. It offers state-of-the-art facilities and has hosted numerous significant events, contributing substantially to the local economy.

Organizers are diligently preparing for the 2026 edition of the Cape Town Business Summit and EXPO, with comprehensive details to be unveiled shortly. The event continues to evolve, aiming to provide valuable insights and opportunities for the business community in Cape Town and beyond. The next event takes place at the CTICC on Wednesday 3rd June 2026.
